With over 15 years of experience developing and deploying cutting-edge machine learning in production environments, I've led projects that bridge the gap between research and real-world impact.
I created QMiner, an open-source analytics platform for processing large-scale real-time data streams, and co-created Event Registry, a system that identifies and tracks world events from global news sources.
My research career includes a Ph.D. from Jozef Stefan Institute, consulting work with Bloomberg L.P., a Marie Curie Fellowship at Stanford University, PostDoc at IBCN, Ghent University, and project management of the EU XLike project.
